Plot:


A woman conspires with her daughter to kill her lover, who seduced
              them both. She sneaks out of her own party and lies in wait at his
              appartment and shoots him, then covers the body in an electric blanket
              to obscure the time of death. The daughter then pretends to shoot him
              later when the manager discovers the body. Columbo notices water in
              the fridges drip tray when power was cut off, also the thermostat turned
              up during the evening. Columbo tracks down the daughter from phone
              records and a chair in photos of the two women connect them. Columbo
              picks up the daughter and the woman agrees to confess if he lets her go.

Plot:


L.A. radio moderator Chase kills Jerry Winters, a member 
	of his staff who tried to help Chase's daughter Victoria 
	(also a staff member) to leave her father and become a novelist 
	in New York. Chase presents a fine alibi: Winters was shot dead 
	while speaking to him on the phone, even the shooting was recorded 
	on his answering machine. Everything seems perfect, but will 
	Lt. Columbo really believe this story?
